Imagine going where no other tender can take you in comfort, safety and style.

A Sealegs Amphibious Tender will take you there.

Sealegs SuperYacht Tender

Sealegs Amphibious RIBS are increasingly popular as yacht tenders due to their functionality, practicality, robustness and sea-keeping characteristics. Sealegs superyacht tenders provide effortless landing and launching on any beach. The patented Sealegs amphibious system is proven on over 1,300 in 55 countries around the world.

Customised Superyacht Tenders

Sealegs amphibious craft are custom-built to match your superyacht. Sealegs pride themselves on crafting the perfect tender for any superyacht, regardless of size or design.

The demand for Sealegs as yacht tenders is growing. Sealegs CEO, David McKee Wright said:

“Each of these deliveries underscores the advantages that Sealegs capabilities provide. They allow luxury yacht owners and their guests to transition seamlessly ashore from their larger vessels, without the need for docks or other coastline infrastructure. This gives superyacht owners unrivalled access to the most remote and secluded beaches”.

Each Sealegs craft delivered to its superyacht client is customised to meet the requirements of the accommodating yacht, its owner and crew. Some of these customisations include:

  • Custom paint and tube designs
  • Specialised fuel reservoirs to meet range requirements
  • Re-engineered lift points to accommodate various cranes
  • Custom stainless and folding ski towers
  • Removable windscreens for storage
  • Reinforced cleats for bracing in strong seas

A growing number of Sealegs Amphibious craft are being supplied to the super yacht market. Motor yacht A, designed by Philippe Starck, and was given amphibious capabilities in the form of a Sealegs 6.1m RIB in 2013. Meanwhile Phoenix II received a heavily personalised Sealegs 7.1m RIB which included bespoke upholstery and custom centre console.

About Sealegs

Sealegs International is based in Auckland, New Zealand, where the Sealegs concept of amphibious boating was first invented and where they continue to be manufactured. Sealegs Amphibious boats are sold and used by customers in 55 countries throughout the world.

Sealegs have been specifically designed and developed to take all the hassle out of the boat launching and retrieval process. The patented system consists of motorised, retractable and steerable wheels which are fitted to specially designed boats to give users a fully integrated, turn-key package.

A Sealegs Amphibious Craft can be driven from a storage location, down a boat ramp or beach and into the water – all with the occupants staying in the boat and remaining completely dry. Once in the water, the Sealegs wheels are easily retracted into the “UP” position and are completely out of the water. The craft is then driven and used as a normal high performance boat.

When approaching land, the Sealegs wheels are lowered into the “DOWN” position whilst still moving in the water. It is then simply a matter of trolling towards the beach, when the Sealegs powerful motorised wheels touch the bottom and drive the craft up onto land. The occupants can then disembark, totally dry and safe.
